Fire downs 3000 phone lines in Bangladesh

A fire at Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Ltd and BTTB building at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar within the town on Moday disrupted 3000 phonephone connections. 

The fire broke out at the MDF space at Sher-e-Bangla phonephone Exchange building around 5:00am, forcing the authorities to disconnect power provide to the building immediately for security reasons that led to disconnection of 80,000 phonephone lines, the BTCL said in an exceedingly media statement.

It took one-and a half hours for firemen to bring the hearth beneath management. Some connections were restrored when the hearth was doused. 

The 3,000 connections are expected to be restored by Wednesday.
The media statement conjointly said a five-member committee was tasked with finding the causes behind the hearth.
