After introducing the Timeline a few months ago, later on Facebook is testing a new design for the profile page/layout.
"We can confirm this is a small test, but don’t have anything further to share at this time," a Facebook rep explained.The new look-Timeline would move the user´s biographical information into the wide cover photo instead of below. A "summary" tab reveals a list of the user´s major life events.
The carousel of thumbnail images highlighting friends, photos, places, likes, etc. has also been compressed. Images are now replaced by thumbnails. Next to these, a new “Summary” section appears, presumably to highlight key events on a user’s Timeline.
