This one comes good
manners of the China Times.
Unlike outlets are reporting rather different details -- likely because of
translation -- but in accordance with Jefferies Research, the Taiwan-based
outlet claims 3 new iPhone models are in works: a humble upgrade to the
latest model in the shape of a 4-inch
iPhone 5S and a lower-cost 4.8-inch
iPhone uneasily dubbed "Math"
in June, followed months later by a new high-end model with 12-megapixel camera
due out the end of October.
Peter Misek, an market
analyst with Jefferies, consents that three(3) distinctive iPhone models are
coming down the pike, but disagrees to some extent on the details. A low-priced,
new 4.3-inch iPhone and multi-color 4-inch iPhone 5S should hit some time
in June or July, while the new high-end model should sport the larger 4.8-inch show and hit in October. "We do not recognize what
this phone will be called and think 'Math'
may be a mistranslation or a code name," writes Misek.
These iPhone reports are now the latest in a string of rumors and conjecture.
Over the last few months, market analyst have weighed in. Gene Munster from
Piper Jaffray even went up to now as to sketch out a product roadmap for 2013
with perhaps Apple's next highly-awaited product, a television set, due out
this November. To in brief recap, such a tool could evaluate between 42- and 55-inches and cost between $1,500 and
$2,000.A 4.8-inch iPhone as Misek reports might be a greeting addition to Apple's smartphone line. Between predictions that larger-screened "phablets" will be big this year, and surveys showing increased customer demand for the larger and larger screens, some may believe such an iPhone "phablet" to be the perfect on-the-go tool for consuming data over their speedy 4G connections and a secure bet on Apple's part.
