Keyboard Shortcuts for Character Map



After you double-click a character on the grid of the characters, anyone can moves through grid by using the keyboard shortcuts:

Right Arrow (Moves to right or to the beginning of the next line)
Left Arrow (Moves to left or to the end of the previous line)
Up Arrow (Moves up one row)
Down Arrow (Moves down one row)
Page Up (Moves to up one screen at a time)
Page Down (Moves to down one screen at a time)
Home (Moves to beginning of the line)
End (Moves to end of the line)
Ctrl+Home (Moves to first character)
Ctrl+End (Moves to last character)
Spacebar (Switch to between Normal mode and Enlarged when a character is selected)

Internet Explorer shortcut keys


Shortcut Key
Description
Alt + Left Arrow
Back a page.
Backspace
Back a page.
Alt + Right Arrow
Forward a page.
F5
Refresh the current page, frame, or tab.
F11
Display with the current website in a full screen mode. Pressing F11 again will exit this mode.
Esc
Stop the page or download from loading.
Ctrl + (- or +)
Increase or decrease the font size, pressing '-' will decrease and '+' will increase.
Ctrl + Enter
Quickly complete an address. For example, type computerhope in the address bar and press CTRL + ENTER to get http://www.computerhope.com.
Ctrl + D
Add a Favorite for the page currently opened.
Ctrl + I
Display the available bookmarks.
Ctrl + N
Open the New browser window.
Ctrl + P
Print the current page or frame.
Ctrl + T
Opens with a new tab.
Ctrl + F4
Closes that currently selected tab.
Ctrl + Tab
Move throughout each of the open tabs.
Spacebar
Moves down a page at a time.
Shift + Spacebar
Moves up a page at a time.
Alt + Down arrow
Display all the previous text that entered in a text box or available options on the drop down menu.
Alt + D
Highlight the text taht in the address bar

Be attention that not all of the following shortcut keys will work in all versions of Mac OS.



Shortcuts
Description
Open Apple + Down
Opens the selected icon.
Shift + Click
Select the icon and add it to the set of those selected.
Tab
Highlight to next icon that inside the folder, in alphabetical order.
Shift + Tab
Highlight the previous icon inside the folder, in alphabetical order.
Left arrow
Used when viewing by icon to select the icon to the left of the one highlighted.
Right arrow
This Key used when viewing by icon to select icon to the right of the one highlighted.
Up arrow
This shortcut key used to select the icon above the one currently highlighted.
Down arrow
This Down arrow used to select the icon below the one currently highlighted.

Used to direct the input focus to the desktop level.
